Próis President Kirstie Pike Invites You to Enter the WGH Awards Challenge

SCI’s Women Go Hunting (WGH) has launched the 2026 Hunting Awards Challenge. Women and girls who hunt are invited to enter the Challenge for recognition of their hunting accomplishments and the chance to win one of 10 $100 gift cards from sponsor Próis Hunting.

“SCI has created an incredible sisterhood with the Women Go Hunting program,” says Próis Hunting creator and president Kirstie Pike. “Sisterhood is one of the driving forces behind Próis, and we’re proud to support SCI’s WGH initiative for a third consecutive year.”

The WGH Challenge is part of SCI’s initiative to empower women of all experience levels on their hunting journey and lifestyle. The Challenge gets women to document their hunting achievements by submitting a photo entry of their hunted animals to the SCI Hunting Awards Program – no measurements or minimum scores required. All participants are celebrated on the SCI website, social media platforms and the WGH booth at the SCI Annual Convention.

Participants may enter any species recognized by the SCI Record Book program, including various upland birds, waterfowl, and turkeys. One entry will be selected as a winner for animals taken in each of the following categories: Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, South Pacific, Birds of the World, Turkeys of the World, First-time-Entries and Girls Under 15.

When Pike first heard about the Challenge in 2024, she jumped at the opportunity to encourage women to participate by offering the chance to win Próis gear just for entering. Próis Hunting features a line of women’s hunting apparel and gear designed to fit the full range of women’s body types and to meet their special needs in the field. Pike started the line when she drew her first Colorado elk archery tag in 2008, but the only women’s camouflage clothing she could find were capri pants and baby doll t-shirts – not exactly hunting clothes!

She also knew that shrinking men’s clothes (and making them pink) was not what the growing market of women who hunted needed when going to the woods. She formed a vision of offering a comprehensive line of high-quality performance apparel, and today Próis can outfit women no matter what they are hunting and for almost any conditions.

While vision and tenacity kept her going, Pike credits the success of Próis to what she describes as an amazing sisterhood of women who rallied around her. “I’ve seen a lot of companies in this space come and go,” she says. “What makes Próis stand out from the rest is the amazing sisterhood of women associated with the brand.”

Called the Próis Posse, that sisterhood includes employees, hunt staff, and customers that Pike says are the drivers of what makes Próis unique – a community of likeminded women who are wives, mothers, grandmothers, daughters, and the girl next door. That is the same community she has found in Women Go Hunting.

“SCI has elevated this to more than just a simple contest or click bait gimmick,” she said. “WGH really helps women connect and get the support they need in an uplifting environment without fear of criticism or judgement of skills and experience. I encourage all women to jump in and connect with other women in WGH. Participate in the Challenge and come to the annual WGH Mix & Mingle event at the SCI Convention. The Próis Posse will see you there!”

How to Participate – The 2026 WGH Hunting Awards Challenge runs now through the end of 2025 with winners announced in January 2026.
