This fun-filled two-day event was held in beautiful Lake Geneva, WI at the Grand Geneva Resort — a new venue for the Wisconsin Chapter.
The fundraiser started Friday with a carefully planned exhibit hall filled with loyal and motivated vendors. Friday night, which is Outfitter Night, started with a buffet style chicken and fish dinner.
Daniel Trawicki emceed both night events and did a fabulous job for the chapter. “Tim the Auctioneer” kicked off the auction and stopped at nothing to get top bidders to step up. Standing on tables, growling like a bear, yes a bear, are just a few of his tricks.
Saturday night was elegant and definitely an upscale event with a down-to-earth undertone. The Wisconsin Chapter was honored as the Number 1 SCI Chapter in overall 30 percent contributions.
SCI Life member Adam Biondich was the top bidder for an SCI Life membership for his son Brett. SCI President Larry Higgins was gracious enough to pin his own personal Life pin on Adam as his “thank you” for supporting SCI.
This chapter is strong and very proud, and definitely a role model for other SCI chapters.
Chapter President Michael Betters; Matt Yunk, President Elect; Justin Klug, Secretary; Fred Spiewak, Treasurer; Charmaine Wargolet, Membership Chair; and Janean Gehl, Chapter Liaison, are just a few of the board members of this chapter. These members all truly care about each other.
