Safari Club International is proud to announce the hiring of Ron Stolkin as its Executive Vice President/General Counsel. After many years in the private practice of law, which included serving as outside counsel for SCI for more than 25 years, Ron will provide invaluable expertise to SCI’s legal affairs.
In his private practice Ron specialized in the areas of labor and employment law and commercial litigation. In this role he counseled management on personnel practices, employee discipline and labor relations. He defended employers in litigation alleging a broad range of employment related issues, such as employment discrimination, breach of contract, wrongful discharge, unfair labor practices and related torts in state and federal courts, and before government agencies such as the EEOC, the Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board, the Arizona Civil Rights Division and the Nevada Equal Rights Commission. He counseled clients (including SCI) on a wide range of employment issues including employment handbooks and personnel policies, employment-at-will issues, wage/hour issues, drug and alcohol policies, harassment (including sexual harassment), employee disability issues, and leave of absence issues.
Mr. Stolkin is admitted to practice in Arizona, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. He is a past chair of the State Bar of Arizona, Employment and Labor Section. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America under Labor and Employment Law where he was named 2011 and 2014 Labor & Employment Attorney of the Year in Phoenix. He is also listed in Southwest Super Lawyers and in Chamber USA America’s Leading Business Lawyers.
