California: Anti-gun advocates have filed a ballot measure for the November 2024 election. The measure, dubbed the âGun Safety Accountability Act 2024″, (Initiative 23-0033), would require 8 hours of annual gun safety training and in-person testing for firearms owners as well as create a gun ownership taxing scheme to pay for previously failed policies, among other egregious items contained in the measure. SCI will continue to monitor and engage where necessary to protect the rights of members.
