Earlier this week, Beretta announced that the company would put an immediate hold on their participation in “Large-Scale Indoor Events” due to the “sudden and dramatic increase of COVID-19 infections during the past 2 weeks.”
With Safari Club International’s (SCI) 50th Anniversary Convention approaching at the end of this month, this announcement unfortunately means that Beretta will not be exhibiting on the showroom floor at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center this year.
Attendees and exhibitors in Las Vegas will be pleased to know, however, that the annual Beretta & SCI Foundation Conservation Leadership Award Gala will go on as planned on Tuesday January 18th.
“Beretta has long served as prolific benefactors and outfitters of hunters and the hunting community” said SCI CEO W. Laird Hamberlin in response to Beretta’s announcement. “While it is disappointing that we will not see the company on the convention floor this year, SCI understands and appreciates that Beretta will continue to serve as an exemplary member of the outdoor sporting community upon which hunters can rely. We look forward to continuing our mutually beneficial and very positive relationship in the future.”
