Clearing Your Browser Cache

Clearing the Cache in Major Web Browsers

Browsers store images, fonts, code and other data on your device to speed up delivery of web content. Instead of re-downloading images and other data from pages you've recently visited, the cache allows your browser to deliver them quickly from your device. While the cache improves performance, it can become corrupted or simply out-of-date. Clearing the cache forces the browser to get fresh information the next time you visit a website.

Note that most browsers allow you to choose a time range for deleting the cache.  If you only need to clear information from a recently visited website, you might select the shortest time frame that includes the last visit to that site. However, if you are experiencing issues with multiple websites or simply want to start fresh with the most recent site data, select the “All Time” option.
