Colorado Ballot Measure Update 

SCI continues to work on the ballot measure that would ban hunting and trapping of mountain lions, bobcats, and lynx. The Title Board recently conducted a hearing on several technical issues related to ballot measures and removed the word trophy from the title. SCI belongs to a coalition challenging the measure. The inclusion of the work “trophy” significantly misled the public and attempted to position the ethical hunting of these animals in a deliberately controversial way, therefore this adjustment better positions the non-hunting community to make more informed decisions. See the latest version of the Ballot Title here.   Listen to the hearing here.
