SCI Recreates Chapter Services Department with Three Key Hires

Safari Club International (SCI) has announced the creation of a new Chapter Services team, hiring Carson Keys as Chapter Services Manager, and Jordan Wisecup and Spencer Graves as Chapter Service Specialists.

The new hires reestablish the support network for chapters that was lost during the COVID-19 pandemic, when many chapter activities and fundraising functions were hampered by lockdowns and restrictions on social gatherings. In recreating the chapter services group post COVID, SCI sought to assemble a team with fresh and innovative ideas on how to help chapters grow their membership, enhance their fundraising efforts, and promote programs for hunting education, advocacy, conservation and other chapter initiatives.

“We have rebuilt our team from scratch with a completely new strategy on how to support our chapters, develop new ones and boost membership,” said Jason St. Michael, SCI’s Membership and Chapter Services Director. “This team was selected for each person’s ability to bring innovative ideas and exciting new ways of bolstering our chapters. We’re ushering in a whole new approach to chapter relations and development.”

The new team will support SCI’s network of membership chapters by providing counseling, training and enhanced communications. As liaisons between SCI headquarters and its chapters, chapter service specialists will identify chapter needs and connect them with a range of resources available to them through SCI. Specialists will also work closely with SCI regional representatives to strengthen existing chapters and develop new ones.

As the new Chapter Services Manager, Carson Keys will work directly under St. Michael. Originally from Alaska, Keys is a graduate of Kansas State University and holds a bachelor’s degree in wildlife and outdoor enterprise management and an MBA. He was formerly chapter management and development coordinator for Dallas Safari Club. He also serves on the advisory board of the Texas Bighorn Society.

Jordan Wisecup grew up on a farm in Iowa. He has an undergraduate degree from Central College in Pella, Iowa, and a master’s degree in public administration from Northcentral University in Scottsdale, Arizona. Before joining SCI, he was a business entrepreneur in the fitness industry.

Spencer Graves is from Southwestern Virginia and spent 22 years as a broadcasting professional. He worked in major radio markets across the U.S. and as a contributor on Fox News, MSNBC and ESPN. He is currently heard in Philadelphia, St. Louis, Atlanta and San Diego. Graves also worked briefly in NASCAR.

All three are lifelong hunters dedicated to defending the right to hunt.

“We’re excited to introduce our new team and expect some great developments in our chapter network in the coming year,” said St. Michael.
